Flushly is a personal diary for bowel movements and gut health. We built it so that your diary stays with you.
Without an account (default). Flushly works without an account and sends nothing to us. Everything you enter — entries, check-ins, photos, profiles, medication and notes — is stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage. Photos you add are copied into the app and never saved to your photo library.
Account and sync (optional). If you sign in with Apple or Google in Settings → Account & sync, Flushly keeps an encrypted copy of your diary on our server (flushly.dostich.com, hosted by Hetzner in the EU) so you can restore it and use it on your other phones. Your entries, check-ins and profiles are encrypted on your phone with your account's key before they are sent; the key is stored on our server encrypted at rest and is given only to phones signed in to your account. Photos are not synced. For the account we keep: the identifier and email address that Apple or Google share with us (Apple may give a private relay address), an anonymous device identifier and technical timestamps of your synced records. We use this data only to sign you in and sync your diary. We never use it for advertising, never sell it and never share it with anyone; only the operator of Flushly can access the server, and only to keep the service running.
Analytics and ads. Flushly shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics trackers. Your health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts, never your diary data. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
Backups and reports. When you create a backup, a PDF report or a CSV export, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose (for example Files, email or your doctor). Backups are not encrypted; keep them somewhere private.
Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. By default their text is neutral so nothing private appears on the lock screen.
Deleting your data. Settings → Delete all data erases everything from your device. Deleting the app does the same. Settings → Account & sync → Delete account deletes your account and the encrypted cloud copy from our server at once. You can also email us to delete your account or purchase history, see Delete your data.
Children. Flushly is not directed at children. Parents may keep a diary for their child as a separate profile on their own device.
Medical disclaimer. Flushly is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to a doctor about health concerns.
